The piece I created was inspired by Yoel Moshe Salomon Street, better known in Jerusalem as Umbrella
Street. The street used to be busy, dark and dirty, but has now been transformed into a colorful place
with shops and tourists.

I based my piece on this transformation. When you see the street, it is mainly the colorful light of the umbrellas that determine the atmosphere of the street. That is why it was obvious to use stained glass. When the sun shines on this colorful glass, it can literally transform a dark and stark place into a place full of light and colors. The arches in the glass window represent the shape of the umbrella.
